El tintero

This is probably the most impressive edifice of Kuelap. The “inkwell” is an underground chamber with the shape of an inversed cone. The archaeologists think this place had a religious purpose because they discovered an important quantity of animal bones. Another theory stands it might have been a kind of solar calendar. Once again, theories are accumulating and competing, which keeps intact the mystery of this place.
